Dear Parent,
We are located in historic downtown Kennesaw.  First Baptist Christian School
has been a ministry of Kennesaw First Baptist Church since 1969. We adhere to the doctrinal and mission statements of Kennesaw First Baptist Church, believing that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative word of God; It is the basis from which education stems. (1 Peter 1:21)

At FBCS, we believe children need to be in an educational environment in which their teachers are deeply committed to Jesus Christ and to a Christian philosophy of education.  Here at FBCS all our teachers are deeply committed to Jesus Christ and to a Christian philosophy of education.

The Student/Teacher Ratio at FBCS is a priority.    Depending on the age and grade of your child it can range from 1:6  to 1:15 in preschool. In elementary the ratio starts at 1:15 and ends with 1:18.

Our teachers seek to help students see and accept themselves as unique individuals, created in the image of God with special gifts to be fully developed for His glory.  We strive to help students reach their full academic potential by combining high academic standards with developmentally appropriate instructional programs.

FBCS offers curriculum enrichments for all age groups. Spanish, computer, music and library  begins with two-year olds and continues through fifth grade working together to reinforce all classroom curriculum.  Physical education and Band round out the academic experience. All curriculum enrichments are taught by specialized teachers in a working lab.

FBCS’s elementary division was awarded accreditation from the Association of Christian Schools International in 2006. Having finished a three plus year process this distinction was issued by ACSI.   Additionally, the Stanford Achievement Test results for the year 2001-2002 yielded a percentile ranking of 85 percent for kindergarten through fifth grade. Historically, FBCS has tested as one of the highest in the area.

At FBCS we believe our parents are crucial to our success as well as the education of our students and we encourage all of our parents to be active and involved in the education of their children.  Involvement in a variety of scheduled events and opportunities are always available.

At FBCS we have placed a special priority on the safety and security of the students.  All non-staff adults requires sign-in and visitor name tag use. Our staff and facility are also held to high FBCS health training standards in addition to the most stringent Georgia state health and safety standards. Staff are trained and certified in CPR and First Aid.  Student entry and exit of school is also strictly monitored and controlled.

We are committed to providing a challenging and exciting learning environment where students encounter God through caring and encouragement.

In Christ,

First Baptist Christian School Kennesaw
