The Moms in Touch prayer group has a prayer request box by the reception desk.  They welcome any prayer requests that you have! If you would like to submit a prayer request, but are not able to come in and place it in the box, you are welcome to email your request to reception@fbcskennesaw.com

FBCS is looking for parent's to pray.  The Mom's in Touch group is looking for more members to pray for the students and staff of our school.  More information can be found at  www.momsintouch.org.  Please email skotenko@fbcskennesaw.com if you are interested in joining this group.

FBCS Guide To FBCS

Late due to traffic - When there is a publicized accident in the local Kennesaw area, the administration may allow students to come in without being considered tardy.  This is at the discretion of the administration only.
Early release days – these days occur periodically through out the year. Unless other wise noted, the scheduled release time is: preschool release as usual, Kindergarten at 11:30, and elementary at 12:30.
Elementary chapel – Monday at 9:00 am K5 - 1st.  Monday at 9:30 am 2nd-6th.  Parents are always welcome to join their children, hear our message and listen to our chapel praise team.
Grandparent's Day– This is an event we host each year. Students are able to bring a Grandparent or Grandfriend to school with them.  They will enjoy some time both in the classroom and in the school.
Book Fair – Twice per year, the school provides an opportunity for Scholastic Warehouse to bring their books to you. In the fall, book fair students are offered a chance to fill-out wish lists of items they would enjoy reading.   Teachers
are also able to fill out wishes for books they would like to have in their classroom. The second book fair is offered in the late spring as an opportunity to purchase summer reading books for students at ½ off the cover price of all items.
Elementary Parent Conferences – This is also known as early release week where teachers will set appointments up with parents to go over your child’s progress.  Always feel free to email your child’s teacher with any questions that come up in the mean time.
Christmas Shop –Elementary and preschool children are offered an opportunity to shop for their family for low priced gifts that are then wrapped and gift tagged to take home.
Student Treasures – Elementary students write their own books to be published. Parents may buy extra copies for themselves or others.
Christmas Chapel – Join our chapel praise team and students as we celebrate the blessed birth of Jesus.
Jump Rope for Heart – Students are given the opportunity to raise money for the American Heart Association while exercising their heart muscle by jumping rope.
Big Shanty and Christmas Parade – Big Shanty Days is an event held in downtown Kennesaw each year in April. The school is always represented in the parade and students and their parents are welcome to join us.
We also walk in the Kennesaw Christmas Parade and invite all who can to join us.
How to RAISE FUNDS while having FUN
- There are many opportunities to raise funds while out in the market place.  Some of those are:  Box tops for education - cut out all the box tops you can find and send in to your child's teacher.  Wamoola - this opportunity is offered by Washington Mutual Bank - every time you use your debit card $.03 goes to the school you have designated with Washington Mutual.  Office Depot returns 5% of your total purchase to FBCS when you use the following code while shopping in the store or online - 70118556.  Thank you for thinking of us as you shop!!  See more opportunites on the PTF page.
