Mission

Our mission is to partner with parents to equip learners to face the challenges of life, God's way. First Baptist Christian School is a place that:

  • Supports parents and guardians in their God-given responsibility to nurture and train their children.

  • Equips learners with tools that are necessary to realize their God-given potential spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, ethnically, and physically.

  • Enrolls learners from a diverse population - economically, socially, and educationally, who can be successful while accomplishing a challenging curriculum.

  • Develops character in learners, which enables them to meet the challenges that life brings their way.

  • Teaches learners using God's direction found in the Bible (God's word), so they will know God's way.

Philosophy

First Baptist Christian School is a ministry of Kennesaw First Baptist Church. As such, it adheres to the doctrinal and mission statements of Kennesaw First Baptist Church. The school is one way we reach into the community to minister to people where they live, work, learn, struggle, and play. We endeavor to lead them to a deep personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Teachers and administrative staff at First Baptist Christian School must be born-again Christians, committed to Jesus Christ and understand that their lives serve as examples to those they teach.  FBCS recognizes the primary responsibility for education rests with parents. Therefore, FBCS seeks to serve as an extension to support parents in this task. FBCS follows God's word in rearing and discipline, partnering with parents to equip learners to face life's challenges God's way. Psalm 78:5-6, Ephesians 6:1-4, Proverbs 22:8, Colossians 3:20-21  The philosophy of FBCS is based on the premise that man is a unique creation of God, and man's ultimate purpose is to glorify God. The faculty and staff recognize each student is created by God with unique God-given abilities. FBCS seeks to help all students reach their potential by guiding them spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 10:31, Luke 2:52  Education and learning are God-given requirements, therefore, all instruction at FBCS is Bible-based. Deuteronomy 6:6-7, Deuteronomy 4:2-9, Proverbs 3:1-9.

The specific content grows from the following:

  • God's mandate at creation for mankind to have dominion over the earth, requiring learning in areas of language, mathematics, the physical and natural sciences, technology, and the arts. (Genesis 1:1;26-28)

  • Mankind intensified need to understand the curricular areas (as well as the social and health-related sciences and study of God's word), brought about by the hostile environment after the fall. (Genesis 3:9-24)

  • Christ's command for His followers to evangelize the lost and to disciple believers, which further elevates man's need to master the above-mentioned areas. (Matthew 28:18:20)
